Jose Mourinho’s first reign as manager of Chelsea began on 2004 and in his debut season in charge of the English club, he went on winning the Premier League title as well as the Football League Cup. It was a successful and impressive season for Mourinho taking into consideration that he won 2 major trophies despite only being his debut season.
Chelsea defended their Premier League title in the following season as they claimed the league title once more under the guidance of Jose Mourinho as well as going on to win the FA Community Shield. It was another splendid season for Chelsea and Mourinho with more and more titles being added to the closet for the players, the club and the manager.
After making his way through Inter Milan and Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho decided to return to the Premier League and coach Chelsea once again. The Portuguese tactician signed a 4 year long contract but has now revealed that he would gladly extend his contract even further.
“I would sign tomorrow. That’s what I want. I want to stay in Chelsea and English football because I think I won the right. Unfortunately, Chelsea’s not my club. I depend on the club and I depend on the results. Last year, I was feeling that we could but we were not ready to cope with that pressure’’
“We couldn’t cope with certain moments of the game. This season we improve with Diego and Fabregas, no doubt. We were lucky to have in the market available for us exactly the style of player we need. But what people maybe don’t realize is that the maturity of our team changed a lot’’ Jose Mourinho said as he wants to win the Premier League for a 3rd time.
