Barcelona offered £80m for Torres in 2009, believe it or not, that’s when Torres was in the top 3 Balon d’or. During that time Torres could see a bright future with Liverfool but was proved wrong by their poor performance in 2010.

    Chelsea never got a bargain.. imo 50million for any player is madness unless they’re a player that is going to come in immediately, not take any time to settle in, and straight away win games for the team on their own.

    Pep himself has commented on the Torres affair. I quote “50million pounds for Fernando is ridiculous”.

  22. @fraterrcc obviously i called you a silly child. it’s not a mistake that Chelsea bought Torres for 50million, Chelsea got a bargain because 5 months before the deadline Barcelona offered £80million for Torres. Torres is at the state he is now because of Chelsea. it’s Chelsea to blame, not Torres. with Liverpool he still scored lots of goals, he had 9 goals and 4 assists already. he scored a beauty against us.
