CHELSEA EYEING SECOND HOME WIN

Chelsea have their eyes on a second home win of the season in the Premier League ahead of the visit of London rivals West Ham United. The London Derby clash was initially billed for Sunday before it was brought forward to Saturday due to the Champions League commitment at Chelsea.

German tactician Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea have one win and one draw from their first two home games in the Premier League this season. Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Tottenham Hotspur in their London Derby clash with England international Harry Kane salvaging a point for Spurs in stoppage time. The Blues led two times during the game, but they were not able to emerge from the game with victory. It was the second league game of the season for Chelsea.

Chelsea bagged their first win of the season at home courtesy the 2-1 victory over Leicester City. The Blues achieved the win with ten men after English midfielder Conor Gallagher was given his marching orders in the first half for two yellow cards. England international Raheem Sterling scored the two goals for Chelsea, while Harvey Barnes was on target for Leicester City with all the goals coming in the second half.

Tuchel and his players have four points from two home games in the Premier League this season and they can make it seven points from three home games with a win over London rivals West Ham United when the two teams meet at Stamford Bridge this weekend. The Hammers are on a run of two games without a defeat ahead of the game, while the Blues are looking to bounce back after the disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of hosts Southampton on Tuesday night. Chelsea scored first, but Southampton bounced back to score two first half goals and win the game.
